Expectations
This is a small wiki, and doesn't have all the templates, extensions and what else of wikipedia yet, so expect a bit less on the editing tools side.
Expect pages to get protected more often as we don't have the constant viewership yet to solidify accuracy.
Quick Start Guide
Starting New Page
Grab the "unique name" from the link you are dissecting.
For example:
Target Article: http://sds.utoronto.ca/blog/bill-c-16-no-its-not-about-criminalizing-pronoun-misuse/
Grab: bill-c-16-no-its-not-about-criminalizing-pronoun-misuse
Replace - with _
(text editors like Notepad++ can do this super fast with a "Find and Replace" Ctrl-H ).
It becomes: bill_c_16_no_its_not_about_criminalizing_pronoun_misuse
Paste that at the end of http://jbptruth.shoutwiki.com/wiki/
It becomes: http://jbptruth.shoutwiki.com/wiki/bill_c_16_no_its_not_about_criminalizing_pronoun_misuse
Go to that address, click Create Page.
---
Copy and paste the text of [1] to use as a template.
Fill in the sections as you please.
Formatting
ShoutWiki is built off MediaWiki. Their formatting/help pages work a treat. Help:Formatting MediaWiki
Put Categories at the bottom, they're being made up as we go.
Keywords that the article is about, e.g. Bill C-16, Compelled Speech, Diversity. Something like that.
Metadata
Second most important after getting the critical analysis right is to correctly ID where the criticism came from.
If there is no posting date for the article use the oldest comment.
For the Style: section, use Report or Direct Criticism. Journalist reportage that covers both sides is Report, and hit pieces that have an ideological job to do is Direct Criticism.
Central Claims
Most journalist style reports don't claim much beyond facts from both sides, with a bit of opinion thrown in.
Most direct critics claim a lot. This is where you chop up the main thrusts of the article/video and address them.
Errors in Criticism
Summary of above, final analysis on where the author went wrong.
Truth in Criticism
Anything the author got right. Usually it's just the facts.
